So, you have a rad marketing campaign that is sure to entice a large number of players to join your casino? However, did you know that, despite how good the campaign is, launching it at the right time could mean the difference between scoring the next hit and falling on deaf digital ears?

The general assumptions about prime time won’t do you any good: prime gambling hours differ from market to market and are subject to volatility depending on days of the week, possible holidays, event-led activity, or even current weather trends. Google Search Console could help, but it lacks the predictive power of a multi-vector analysis.

In collaboration with next.io, the Blask team conducted an in-depth analysis of four dynamic markets to identify high-frequency gambling times. Their stated aim? To help businesses target campaigns more effectively, as well as teach business owners new ways of thinking about the matter.

Vietnam, Italy, Brazil, Nigeria

By using their advanced in-house metrics and analysis tools like the Blask index, the Blask team measured activity hours for Vietnam, Italy, Brazil, and Nigeria. The index can process fresh brand searches hourly, allowing for the identification of exact hours of increased activity for both standard activity, weekend gaming, and event-led gaming in each of the four markets in question.

It’s worth noting that Blask’s efforts are not market research by any comprehensive measure. Rather, they offer a snapshot into market volatility, demonstrating that timing patterns are very much a thing.

Italy – Consistency King

Italy is every marketer’s dream, as its players consistently demonstrate remarkable gaming consistency. Italian players rarely deviated from the 1:00 AM time slot, exhibiting a predictable pattern even on weekends and during special events like Easter.

Easter Week only heightened the activity but didn’t move the goal posts from the favourable 1:00 to 2:00 time slot.  During the UEFA Nations League Quarter-Finals, when matches and live betting concluded at 8:45, peak activity once again occurred between midnight and 2:00 AM.

Brazil – Mature Market

Brazilians are second only to Italians in consistency rating, consistently peaking around 2:00 AM regardless of whether we’re talking Mon-Fri or weekends.

The 1:00 to 2:00 gaming window remains the same even during the Carnival festivities, which do little to disrupt either the time frame or the number of active players (300k-400k). Similarly, major events like the Copa do Brasil failed to budge the betting patterns, despite games starting at different times throughout the tour. The Blask data describes Brazil as a mature market that remains relatively stable.

Weekend-Wonder Nigeria

In contrast, Nigeria is a weekend-led market, with significantly higher player engagement occurring on Saturdays and Sundays, and peak hours taking place earlier in the day rather than late.

Regular day activity peaks from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, suggesting a post-work gaming routine that intensifies during weekends. The routine gets disrupted during holidays, with Easter Weekend showing wildly differing peak times.

As for special events, betting activity correlates with the game times, specifically those in the Nigerian Premier Football League.

Late-Night Vietnam

The Vietnamese players differ from all three in that they prefer late-night and early-morning hours. Weekdays are mostly reserved for the midnight to 3:00 AM slot, while Saturdays remain the gaming day of choice. Naturally, Sunday is business as usual as players prepare for another work week.

Vietnam also registered significantly higher holidays and event-led activity (Lunar New Year celebration), stretching the peak hours well until 8:00 AM during events like the ASEAN Championship matches.

Slots Around the World

Pairing peak hours with popular games of the moment is the marketing way to go in 2025, especially for new casinos. Slots still hold sway with 53% of players according to Primedope, and here’s a snapshot into how it translates across four continental markets.

In Europe, classic slots are still ruling the day. Asia remains gravitating towards visually rich, mobile-first slots with cultural references, while Latin America likes bonus mechanics and is also big on Asian-themed slots, oddly enough.

Lastly, Africa values technical proficiency above all else. If a game takes longer than 10 seconds to load, they abandon it altogether.
