If you’ve recently tried to pop up at Menace casino to play a round of blackjack, you’ve probably been met with a “Back Soon” type of message, saying that the casino has been pulled down to “rebuild it properly.” While that’s technically true, the underlying reason that Menace.com is down is that the casino has been sold for an undisclosed amount.

As per the latest industry rumors, the players and affiliates have all been paid in full, and the transition to the new owner has been smooth sailing.

Menace.com Sold

Announced on X

Very little is known about the sale apart from what can be gleaned from the founder’s memo on X. In his 19th May post, Dima (Dmitry Belianin) stated that they’ve sold the operator part of  the business, which will “relaunch under a different brand.”

It is unknown whether the in-house Ebaka studio is part of the deal (probably not), while Belianin’s media business, Menace Media, will spin off as a standalone entity with the likes of Thrill.com as one of the main media partners.

About Menace Casino

Launched in August 2025, Menace was a crypto casino with a modern spin, a no-nonsense crypto-first bent, and the headline 10% lossback with zero wagering requirements. Players loved it for its daily, weekly, and monthly rebates, which made sure that you always had something to play with even on a rainy day.

In its heyday, the platform housed 8,000+ games, including a dozen provably fair titles from its in-house Ebaka studio. It offered near-instant withdrawals through 15 major crypto tokens and one of the best VIP transfer programs in the business.

The Stature of Menace.com

For a new casino Menace was big. It was one of the most engaging crypto casinos going in 2026. To get the sense of its scale, consider the numbers as well as endorsements for a casino that, mind you, was less than 10 months old.

Over April alone, the platform reached more than 1 billion impressions across its casino and sports sections. The number is nearly 2 billion if we include March in the calculation, signaling that April was not a fluke. It supported nine live sport verticals and was engaged by the likes of UFC head Dana White, MMA fighter Jon Jones, and ex-Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.

Ex and present footballers John Terry, Roberto Carlos, and Diogo Dalot helped set it up, just as the official media accreditation from UFC helped the casino grow as much as it did.

Industry Repercussions

This is not the first crypto casino shutdown (albeit temporary) in the last 30 days. Earlier in April, Luck.io unexpectedly closed its doors for players, leaving them a little stunned at the suddenness of it all.

The cases couldn’t be further apart. While luck.io reportedly left a few tails, Menace changed owners quietly and not before paying all players and affiliates what they were owed.

Still, notable crypto casino exits within such a short timeframe point to a broader shift taking place across the industry. Competition in the space has become increasingly aggressive, with operators spending heavily on sponsorships, influencer deals, and VIP acquisition campaigns in an effort to stand out in an overcrowded market.

This was all hinted at by the previous owner of Menace. In the opening paragraph of his post on X, Dmitry Belianin argued that the reality of online business in 2026 involves shorter cycles, louder signals, and a reality that catches up faster than ever before. Menace may become one of the first examples of that new reality: a fast-rising crypto casino that generated enormous visibility and engagement, only to pivot ownership less than a year after launch.
